Intensive Overview

Departures: July 31 & Aug 1, 2027​

July 31: Ferry from Paros back to Athens for a 1-night stay before departing flights on Sunday.

Aug 1: Departures.

  • ITDP will provide transfer options from the hotel to the airport for Sunday, August 1 departures. 

  • Please note that once checked into the hotel on Saturday night, participants are independently responsible for making it to their final destinations.

  • If departing Greece after August 1, participants must check-out of the hotel on Sunday by 11am and are independently responsible for any additional arrangements in Greece and beyond.

Athens: July 13-July 17, 2027​

July 13: Participants will arrive in Athens on July 13, 2027.

July 14: Tour of the Acropolis and orientation dinner in the historic neighborhood of Monistiraki.

July 15-16: Introductory class work in our Athens studio. Participants will have opportunities to visit additional historical sites explore Athens during these days as well.

Travel to Paros: July 17, 2027​

 July 26: Travel by private charter bus to Piraeus port and take a ferry to Syros Island, settle into accommodations, explore the island.

 

Paros Classes: July 19-July 23 & 26-30, 2027​

July 19-July 23 & 26-30 M-F daily studio classes in Paros.

  • Exact courses and schedule will be shared with enrolled participants between March & April 2027.

  • In past summers, these classes have included: Ancient Greek Theatre Workshop, Choro Drama Movement, Shakespeare & Text, Contemporary Monologue Coaching, Approaching the text, Acting through Song, Musical Theatre Dance, Musical Theatre Vocal Performance, Acting for Film, with an additional Athens masterclass in Traditional Greek Folk Dance.

 

Recreation Days: July 18, 24, 25 2027​

July 18, 24, 25: Recreation.

  • On recreation days, participants may make their own plans to explore the island or participate in activities suggested by ITDP, such as a tour of the island by boat or a performance at a local arts venue.

  • These activities are optional and will be at an additional cost.

  • It is encouraged to take advantage of the cultural events on the island and the beautiful surrounding Cycladic islands. Syros, Naxos, Mykonos and Santorini are within 1-4 hours by ferry from Paros.
