What our Alumni are saying about ITDP...
ITDP was one of the most special and fulfilling experiences that I have had in life so far. Learning about the thing I love in such a beautiful place was everything beyond what I ever imagined. I felt incredibly supported not only by instructors, but by my peers who helped me to build confidence, be adaptable and try new things. I truly feel I have made lifelong friends through this program and my experience will be one I never forget. I will take all of the knowledge and feedback have received with me in all of my future endeavors. I could not have asked for a better way to spend the summer!

By far the most unique theatre experience I have ever had the opportunity to engage in. I count myself lucky.

From the incredible instructors, to the lovely scripts, talented peers, gorgeous islands, wonderful shows and culture, to the everlasting friendships I made - you will leave a better performer and person. ITDP Greece is an unforgettable program that will further develop your artistic education as well as nurture your holistic life experience. Being able to study theatre and dance in the country that gave birth to these art forms is a unique opportunity that will only refuel your passion for them and expand your skills as an artist. Being immersed in a different culture and experiencing all there is to enjoy that is out of your ordinary routine will nourish your growth as a human being, which is ultimately the essence of your art. Taking risks and accepting challenges during this trip will only stretch what you are capable of achieving. You will leave this program surprised by how much you’ve accomplished in your work and how much you’ve matured in life.

My time in Greece with ITDP was one of the most life changing experiences I have had. The ability to embrace and relish in the culture and history of Greece was something I thought I’d be able to do, and having ITDP to facilitate that experience and expand on my connection to it was more than I could have asked for. The connections I made there will hopefully last a lifetime because as artists they just so easy to love. Both faculty and students were supportive and passionate about the craft, which made me even more motivated to grow as an artist.

ITDP: Greece offers a once in a lifetime opportunity to work with excellent working professionals and do it all abroad in the beautiful country that is Greece! Every single teacher was incredible and insightful. I have so many tools in my toolbox that I will keep with me for the rest of my life. The environment is so wonderful and supportive. I made many lifelong friendships that I will always cherish. To top it all off, living in Greece and being immersed in the culture for three weeks was eye-opening and unforgettable.

ITDP provides a uniquely caring approach to theater. While the quality of instruction is rigorous, there's a strong emphasis on empathy and self-care that is incredibly rare in theater intensives. While the programming is on par with BoCo intensives, the backdrop of Greece and Greek culture added an incredible amount to the experience. In my nine years of theater intensives and shows, I've never experienced such a perfect blend of developing theater skills, cultural education, and caring community. ITDP fosters independence for high school students, and hones both theater and life skills for college students.

The decision to go on this trip was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The teachers were so inspiring and the opportunity to work with other young artists was one that truly comes once in a lifetime. Living on the island of Paros while doing what I loved was a dream come true and I would highly recommend this experience to anyone. From boat trips, cliff jumping, swimming in caves, traditional Greek dancing, exploring the Parthenon in Athens, or trying the delicious Greek dishes, I experienced so many aspects of the culture that I never would have before. I left Greece not only with amazing new training and experiences but with a new family. Thank you, ITDP for the best summer of my life.

ITDP was an experience that I was not expecting! It was so impactful and beautiful! There were so many opportunities to connect and learn and grow and explore and not just as actors, but as people as well. I am so grateful for our instructors! I learned techniques that I will take with me forever and that I feel will help me as I continue my acting career. I got to go on solo and group adventures that enhanced my time with ITDP even more. This program definitely made an imprint on my life and I will never forget it or the amazing friends that made.

Attending ITDP was truly one of the best decisions I have made. Not only did I grow as a performer, but I grew and changed as a person by experiencing the culture of 3 very distinctive communities in Greece. One of the things that I cherished most was learning about all different aspects of theater from professionals who have spent their careers both onstage and backstage. As someone who is passionate about both production offstage and the creative onstage, each instructor gave so much insight into the career opportunities that exist in each sector, as well as advice on how to break into the business. I will never forget my time with ITDP, as it has fundamentally changed the person I am today.

Being in the birthplace of theatre and learning its history helped me find a stronger bond to acting and the reason why we do it, and why we need to pass this art form to the next generation. So we can be in conversation with our daily life problems and struggles.
